Hello, everyone! I'm sorry things have been rather quiet of late. Entering adulthood has been a weird and complicated process.
I wanted to let you all know about a publishing opportunity. Chautauqua Literary Journal, published by the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (that's the beach, for your out-of-state-ers ) is accepting submissions! If you're interested, you can check out xthumbtakx's journal on the topic, and then click the "submission guidelines" at the top of the page.
Next order of business is: I'm looking to possibly start another CONTEST with REAL PRIZES to try and get the group up and going again I'm therefore looking for a few things:
I'm collecting POINTS to distribute as PRIZES! I currently have a donation box up on my profile page specifically for this purpose, and would appreciate all contributions!
I'm also looking for any other prizes people would be willing to donate. Silly gifts (I swear, my favorite contest prize EVER is the zombie monkey plush I got once), journal features, sticker collections, I'll accept them all as prizes for our winners!
JUDGES. I need to know I'll have enough people who will help with judging in order to make sure the contest is as fair as possible. I need at least TWO to make sure I'll be able to run the contest at all.
PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG. If there's anyone you think would be interested in helping out, please pass this along so I can get the ball rolling!
FINALLY: I cannot leave you all without a prompt of some kind
Today's prompt comes from The Journal:
Consider the term "saturation" and what it means. Write a term using three different concepts of it - use the senses to explore the term.

I need your input!
Hi, everyone! I just wanted to check in on you all and try to get your feedback on a few things.
The first is submission rules. We have had very, very few submissions over the last two months, and only a very, very few of them have bothered to follow submission rules.
Are the rules too difficult or time-consuming to follow? I didn't want this to just be another group for people to dump their poetry into - I wanted it to be about people who genuinely want to improve their writing. HENCE my insistence that, if you want to have a piece included in the group's folders, you need to show you've critiqued someone else's work.
What do you all want
December Prompt - Homophones and You!
Hi, there! Welcome to the second month of my monthly-prompts attempt! Last month, we only had one submission to the prompt (can't remember what the prompt was? See here: https://wordsmiths-guild.deviantart.com/journal/Prompt-for-November-336844862), but I have NO qualms about featuring chapaV (https://www.deviantart.com/chapav)'s GORGEOUS "From the Informal Dictionary of ELA Amendments" as December's Poem of the Month! Don't forget, the folder is still open to pieces based on that particular prompt, but those pieces will not be eligible for a future Poem of the Month.

I can also help judge, if you still need help.
I'll donate journal features and go and find your points pool.
